In addition to his singing engagements, Richard Cox serves as Vocal Consultant for the Detroit Opera Resident Artist Program, as a guest teacher for the San Francisco Opera Center Adler Fellowship Program, and on the voice faculty of the Bard College Conservatory of Music Graduate Vocal Arts Program (VAP). He has worked given masterclasses and worked singers at the San Francisco Opera Center (Adler Fellows), San Francisco Conservatory of Music, University of North Florida, Arizona State University, Westminster Choir College, Tennessee Technological University, Tucson Desert Song Festival, and TU Dublin Conservatoire.
Richard Cox holds degrees from Tennessee Technological University, Florida State University, and The Juilliard School and is an alumnus of the Music Academy of the West and the Chautauqua Institute.
